Look ahead: February 20, 2022

On Sunday, February 20, 2022 - our youth ministry will be finishing up a Disciple Now weekend. They will have spent Friday evening and all day Saturday listening to challenging messages, living on mission, and encouraging one another in small groups. Additionally, our church is preparing to journey through the rich book of Ephesians starting February 27, 2022.

So while all of these exciting things (and more) are happening, why would I title a sermon "All or nothing"? To be honest with you - I struggled with the title. Surely, God is patient toward us in our spiritual journey, even when we're not "all-in for God". Certainly God doesn't expect us to give ALL of our time, resources, energy to Him?

However, the truth of God's Word doesn't call Christ followers to follow Jesus with half-hearted devotion. Jesus did not call us to "Deny some of ourselves, take up our cross on Sunday's, and follow Him at 10:10AM." Like a runner who gives his/her all while in a race, God's people are called to give our all to Him.

So how can we accomplish this?

Join us this Sunday at First Baptist Church of Carmi, Illinois as we explore the Biblical text and see how God calls us to live for Him. Invite a friend and use the guide below to prepare your heart to worship our great King!
