"I don't have the time to exercise."
Various statistics show around the middle of January is when many people begin to abandon their New Year's resolutions. Whether it's a busy schedule, life changes, or simply too tired, many people listen to the thoughts in their mind to desert what they sat out to accomplish.
Spiritual growth in the Christian life is different than a new exercise program, setting a new budget, or reading a certain amount of books in the new year. When you hunger for spiritual growth, a battle is then set in motion - The Battle of the Mind. A spiritual war is taking place in your mind and you have an enemy who will invade your mind with thoughts of discouragement, defeat, and insignificance.
This Sunday, January 23, 2022, at First Baptist Church of Carmi, we will continue our journey through the Colossian latter and examine the "Battle of Mind" and explore how God has equipped us in the battle so that we can "set our minds on things that are above."
