On October 10, 2021, we will be blessed to hear Doug Devore share from God's Word. Doug Devore is a deacon of First Baptist Church of Carmi, married to Connie, and he is the former Executive Director of the Baptist Children's Home and Family Services.
As we "Look Ahead", you will see ways you can prepare your heart and mind to hear God's Word.
First, prepare your heart by reading through sermon passage: Luke 10:25-37
Secondly, think through the sermon question :What must you do to inherit eternal life?
Finally, take time to pray through this prayer before Sunday worship:
Father, may you begin now preparing my heart to hear Your Word. With the help of Your Holy Spirit, eliminate any distractions that may keep me from hearing and responding to the public proclamation of Your Word. Grant me wisdom in how I should respond and show me how to live for your glory. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.
